Duties and Responsibilities:

Physicians examine patients; obtain medical histories; order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests; and prescribe and administer treatment for people suffering from injury or disease.  They counsel patients about illness, injuries, health conditions and preventive healthcare (diet/fitness, smoking cessation, etc.). They can also conduct medical research, teach and run medical centers.

Salary:

Average of $93,000

Education:

Most MD programs require 4 years of study, including emphasis on basic science, clinical work, and social science.

Reflection:

I wouldn’t mind being one of these they make a good amount of money and they look like they are very help full. In general I wouldn’t mind it but it’s not a preferred job because I will have to examine all the stuff and it looks like a lot of work.

Allergists, also known as immunologists, are doctors specialized in the area of immunology, which means their main purpose is to identify and treat allergic reactions and immunological disorders. Allergists are responsible for performing several tests on allergic patients, discover the causes, and prescribe the adequate treatment. When taking tests and establish treatments, allergists must take into account each patient's medical history to see which other disease he/she might suffer from or if he/she is allergic to certain drugs

Salary:

$118,000-$184,000

Education:

Allergists must complete college or enough science and math courses to be admitted to medical school. They must then complete four years of medical school and three years of residency.

Reflection:

This is the first one I don’t think I would want to do because it looks hard and I feel like it’s kind of hard to know what every person is allergic to. If someone told me that if I wanted to become one I would probably say no.

Reflection:  I think what this quote is saying is that wealth isn't all that matters, the real thing that matters is how we act.

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese holistic therapy based on the theory that the body depends on life energy, known as qi, being in balance. Acupuncturists correct imbalances in the body by inserting fine needles into acupuncture points, thus maintaining or restoring good health and wellbeing.

Education:

At a minimum, applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED certificate to become an acupressure professional.

 

Reflection:

I feel like I would actually like to be one because what I like to do is make people feel better and by doing this I am making them feel better but directly. It also is in the medical field so I wouldn’t mind doing it because I like helping in the medical field. But there is a side of me that would be scared to do this because of all the needles.

Acupressure professionals may earn certificates and degrees at colleges, massage schools and independent facilities to obtain hands-on massage instruction and courses on Asian medicine.
