Anesthesiologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Anesthesiologists are the physicians trained to administer
and manage anesthesia given during a surgical procedure. They are also
responsible for managing and treating changes in your critical life functions -
breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure - as they are affected by the surgery
being performed. Further, they immediately diagnose and treat any medical
problems that might arise during and immediately after surgery.
Salary:
They make around $348,831 per year
Education:
Following graduation, prospective anesthesiologists are
required to attend four years of medical school where they generally spend the
first two years building on basic sciences and the second two in clinical
training.
Reflection:
This job sure pays a lot so it would be hard to turn down
but I don’t think I would like to be one because of all the years in studying
and the pressure of having one’s life in your hands.
